Choosing a printer

Whether its choosing a printer for home or an office ,certain questions which should come into your mind are:
For house users:
a)What would I be printing , whether only text like children's project work or would you also be printing your vacations photos?
b)How many pages would I be printing in a month?
c)Do I  photocopy currently outside , is it negligible or are they volumes?

So based on the following , if its yes for all the above questions then its most probably better if you choose a Multifunction Photosmart Printer.

If its just project a work and say a usage of 300pgs a month , a basic mono laser printer would suffice.

For Office purpose
When it comes to deciding to buy a printer for an office a lot needs to be thought , else you maybe upgrading the printer within a short span of 6 months.
The same basic questions of home users can be used.
Additionally the following needs to be also put to thought

How many users would be currently connected to the printer?
Do we need a printer to print on both sides which would save on paper cost? (Invariably trees)
Would we use A3 size prints?

Hence if again,Yes was your answer to all of the above except on colour printing, the most suitable printer would be an A3 size, multifunction with duplex and network capabilities.

If your office is a SME wherein you harly print 100 pages a day with 8-12 users , then the most basic laser would do.
